So i've started buying albums since i reached here. they're cheaper here then in sg by about $5 and hell i'm satisfied with the albums i bought.
Bloc Party kicks ass in their new album. The sound of their album is more expansive this time compared to 2005's Silent Alarm some of the tracks have some influence from
Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac era. This album isn't as brash or immediate as the band's earlier work, but its gradual move from alienation to connection and hope is just as bold as their Silent Alarm, and possibly even more loud and clear.
Arctic Monkeys album this time is 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' is a bold, beefed-up and brilliant return with a strong starting track "brianstorm" to get the mood going and fittingly, great tracks in between and the final track, "505", is the tear-jerker finale that has you floating from the theatre as the credits roll.
Incubus's album has heavy ballads, radio friendly tracks, atmospheric tracks and hard alt-rock tracks.
For Travis's album take it as a simple collection of adept songs, however there’s very little to find fault with.
For Damon Albarn's The Good The Bad and the Queen, I Quote from a review "You're left both marvelling at the album itself, and considering what a unique figure Albarn cuts. If you doubt it, try to imagine the result if any of Britpop's other major players had assembled a supergroup and made an anti-war concept album. Now take your fist out of your mouth."
